The Journey Begins…

IMG_3429.JPGAt first I thought the placeholder post title WordPress supplied was silly…but it’s true. This is the start of a new journey for me; a blogging journey.

Sadly, I’ve had a lot of failed blogs up until now. A beauty blog. A cooking blog. I also failed to keep up on my main website’s blog because while I love to write, I find myself tongue-tied when it comes to the topic of writing.

But when it comes to tarot? Tree hugging? Witching? Now *that* I think I can talk about for days. And dang it, I’m going to make an effort to do just that, here on this new blogging space.

This blog and my Etsy shop–where I provide tarot readings and sell my indie produced Beautiful Rebellion Tarot deck–share the same name because… that’s me. Robin L. Cole, a modern mystic trying to find a balance between living in the everyday world and nourishing my heathen soul. For a glimpse into my professional life as an indie fantasy/urban fantasy author you can visit my main website–this space will be more of a personal outlet, focusing on spiritual matters with a side of day-to-day life.

While The Beautiful Rebellion Tarot and its hardcover companion art book are almost ready to enter the world, this new age-y creation phase of my career is just beginning. A second tarot deck, dedicated to shadow work (a passion of mine!), and a book dedicated to the path of the modern mystic are definitely coming in the future.

In addition to my witchy and tarot musings, I kind of want to use this space to combine all of my other interests in one place. As an example, I really want to support other indie creators out there, and would love to do “haul” reviews of other sellers rocking it on Etsy. And I do still cook up some amazing shit in my kitchen, so I’d like to share that with you as well.

So, this might wind up being a bit of a hodge-podge–just like I am in real life. Come on back if any of those things interest you!

Thanks for joining me on my journey. I hope you’ll stay for the ride!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
